Masks 6-10

Good Morning! Hope you are doing fine wherever you are. It's a bit damp here, and they are calling for rain all week. NUTS! Rained on and off all day Saturday, and I didn't go out to the country. I was feeling like I was coming down with a cold Friday evening with all of the usual symptoms. I really wanted to go out to the country Saturday, but I didn't think pneumonia was something I wanted to deal with for the effort.

The ladies had a lot of fun Saturday at the convention! They took a bunch of pictures of all of the characters they saw there. There were some very interesting costumes there, and it wasn't just confined to anime characters. There was a guy dressed up as Edward Scissorhands, another dressed up as one of the Autobots, a couple of ladies dressed up as Alice (in Wonderland), and I think one lady was dressed up as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. There was a guy there that was doing a chalk painting of one of a female anime character on canvas. It was an all weekend task to get it done.....of course, the piece of art was about 12 foot tall by maybe 6 - 8 foot wide! They looked up the pictures of the convention last night and he had gotten it done and had it hung up on a "frame". He did an AWESOME job on it!

My oldest son took his son out to do guy stuff for the day Saturday. Even though it was wet and cold and they couldn't do what they were originally going to do, they still went out and had guy time together. Not sure where they went, but my grandson come back with a new plastic ball and bat set. It was a cool set, as it came with picture instructions on how to hold the ball to throw the different types of pitches on the back. What they can't show you is how your arm and hand is positioned when you throw those pitches. It wasn't your typical whiffle ball and bat.His dad and I are going to teach him how to play ball. I played slow-pitch softball for 10 years, and other than the size of the ball, the size of the field, the distance between bases, the pitching, the bats, and some of the rules, baseball and softball are the same game.....you pitch the ball, you hit the ball, you run the bases, you catch the ball, and you try to score while you try to keep the other team from scoring.

Today I've got five more of my masks for you to use. Here is a preview of the masks and a tag I created with one of them:

For The Boys

I am feeling a little better than I was yesterday, and I finished the kit I was working on for the boys. The kit is for the young boys in our lives. The ones who like to watch bugs, play on the playground, play sports and marbles, and such. This kit could also be used for those of us girls who are tomboys! I spent more time on the monkey bars and playing sports than I did playing with my Barbie dolls. And yes, I still like watching all sorts of bugs....except roaches and mosquitoes.

My 3 ladies are going to Chicago tomorrow so that they can go to an anime convention. My 3 guys are staying home and doing whatever they want to do. My grandson likes to watch anime, but he's not interested in going to the convention. My granddaughters have outfits that they helped make that they are wearing to the convention tomorrow. They are really excited about going! Their mom isn't happy about the driving part as they are leaving around 5 in the morning. It's about a 5 hour round trip, if they don't run into any heavy weekend traffic, plus however long they'll be at the convention. And I know that my granddaughters are going to want to see EVERYTHING that's there. I don't expect they will get back home until about 8 or 9 tomorrow night. I hope they have fun!!

My hubby is out on the road driving his truck somewhere in the Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin areas picking up and taking the freight either to the rail yard in Chicago or to other distribution centers and warehouses for customers. He's been driving a truck for the same company for 19 years. He's home in the middle of the week for about 2 days because he schedules his monthly doctor's appointments on Wednesdays.

I'll give those of you with a fear of spiders and bugs in general a heads up that there is one spider and one spider on a web, plus there are 3 beetles, 2 butterflies, and 1 ant in the kit. There are 58 elements and 28 papers in this kit. Here is a little preview of what I put in this tagger size kit.

Masks

I've got a case of the blah's and I really don't feel at all creative today. Really don't want to do much at all. I think what I really need to do is go take a much needed connection break with Mother Earth. I need to re energize all 5 of my batteries....emotional, psychological, mental, physical and Spiritual. They've been drained to almost empty with all of the stuff I've been having to deal with for the last 11 months after my mother-in-law passed last June 1st. This weekend will be a good time to go charge up my batteries, and I really don't care that they are calling for thunderstorms and a high in the mid 50's for Saturday. I can find out on my computer where the storms are before I go, and hopefully avoid getting drenched. But I need to recharge and regroup and rethink things in my life.

I do have some masks that I created a few weeks ago to share with you though. I'll share them five at a time in files over time for you to download. Here is what's in the file:

It's Girly

I'm not exactly the most organized person in the world, but I'm working on it! I've been working on getting my computer files a little more organized, and hopefully I can find what I'm looking for when I want it. I know that since I've organized some of my most used craft and sewing stuff, I can't find what I'm looking for. But I'll figure out where everything is soon enough, just like my computer files. It's an on going process. I've got to work with everything enough to remember where I put it in the first place, then put it back where I found it after I'm done with my sewing and crafting stuff so I can find it again when I need it. My computer files are the same way. Just got to keep plugging on with the project.

I'm also working on putting a garage sale together for sometime in May. I've got stuff from my late mother-in-law that none of the family wants, plus all of the clothes the grand kids have outgrown and various other what-not that needs to go somewhere else. And I'm hoping that the weather was a little more stable in May for the garage sale....if the weather can be stable at this time of year! Right now it's up and down like a yo yo. Today it's going to be in the upper 70's/low 80's and tomorrow in the mid 50's! And they are calling for strong to severe thunderstorms for later today and tonight, with the possibility of tornadoes. Such is spring in Central Illinois. But, I've got the basement set up for any possibility the weather can throw at us. Since there are 7 people that live here on a daily basis and my hubby who is here for up to 48 hours every week, that's a lot of preparation for everybody for the tornado season, and for the winter. Thankfully we have the basement, and there is space in the basement for all of it. But even if we didn't have a basement, and not as much space as we do, I would find the space to still have enough for everyone to take care of any weather situation. Better to have it and not need it, than not have it and really need it.

Today's kit has lots of bright colors in the 24 papers and 55 elements....and it is girly. Lots of pinks and purples, with some turquoise and blue thrown in. Here is a sample of what's in the kit today:

Shades Kit

Good Morning! I actually got to bed at 10 last night instead of 3 like yesterday morning. I was up at 5:30 yesterday to do my daily family stuff, but I did take a nap for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. This morning I woke up about 4, but decided to go back to sleep for another hour and a half. I can't wait for Thursday and Friday when I don't have to get up early!! YEA!!! I can sleep in....maybe.

I was in an unintentional gothy mood yesterday afternoon, but after I finished the kit, I wasn't sure what to call it. It's had 2 names before I decided this morning on "Shades". It's a dark to light kit with 34 elements and 17 papers. Here is a sample of what is in the kit:

Our Precious Child Quick Page

It's 1:45 AM here in Central Illinois, and I can't get to sleep! So, to do something besides watch the idiot infomercials or the Weather Channel, I did something constructive. I really haven't done too much except figure out how to use my new Paint Shop Pro X4, how and where to put my new toys called scripts, talked to a guy from Corel named Steve who was very helpful when my Paint Shop Pro X4 froze up (he also helped me to figure out where my plug ins/filters go in X4 while we were on the phone), and after the call, I proceeded to actually USE my new toys. It is really unnerving to watch someone else work your computer via remote access! That was totally SPOOKY watching the cursor moving, files being opened and my hand was NOT on the mouse! Gave me the creeps! But it got the job done!

I'm not sure if I really like Paint Shop Pro X4, but then I've only had it about 4 days, and I'm still trying to figure out where everything is and how everything works. It is NOT set up like Paint Shop Pro 9 that's for sure! I've been fumbling and floundering around figuring out where everything is on X4. (Reminds me of when I first started out with PSP 9!) Figured out which of the plug ins/filters I've had for ages will and won't work in X4, and ALL of my favorite plug ins/filters work!! YEA!! That was the best part of X4 the last 4 days, other than playing with the scripts! I'm not getting rid of PSP9 because there are some filters that won't work in X4, but will in PSP 9, also, my Animation Shop is set up with PSP 9.

I usually do tagger size goodies, but I went BIG today! I did a full size (3600x3600) Quick Page. I did it in .png for those of you who like the wording, and in .psp, and .psd formats for those of you who want to choose your own font and do your own wording on the page. Just delete the raster layer with the wording to add your own to the page. All of them will work in X4, too! Hopefully it will work in Photo Shop for those of you that use that program. All 3 formats are in one file.
Here is the sample:
I'm STILL having some major issues with 4Share uploading files :( So I'm going to be uploading the files to Media Fire from now on. As far as I know, you can still access the older files from 4Shared. If you can't please leave me a note in the comments and I'll move all of my 4Shared files to Media Fire and give you all of those links.

Here is the Media Fire link for this cute QP. If you have any problems with the link, please leave me a note in the comments and I'll see if I can fix it.

Have an AWESOME week!

New Sk8r Kit

Been an interesting day today so far. Did my errands early this morning, and finished a kit. Don't know just how these ladies and gentlemen put out kits almost everyday! Yes, there are a FEW guys that create scrapbook kits. My headband is off to you gentlemen who create scrapbook goodies and scrapbook, too! I see nothing wrong with the gentlemen doing this sort of creating....it's not just a ladies world.

I got *inspired* yesterday to do a skateboarder kit. Not sure where the inspiration came from, but it was there and I decided to go for it. It was fun creating and *designing* the skateboards, and there are some very interesting and funky papers for you to work with in this kit! Not a bow or a frufru in this kit.....the guys and gals who skateboard or those who have a skateboarder will like this kit....there is something for both in this kit. There is not much that is timid in here! The bright colors and a couple of the graphic papers have given me a head ache! Some of the graphic papers were created using the Redfield filters.

Here is a preview of the kit:

4Shared is still not uploading files, so I had to use MediaFire again. I think MediaFire is going to be my new file sharing friend. Here are the links to the files on MediaFire:
