Masks 41-45

I apologize for my lack of posting. I've been doing a lot of different things the last few days, and my life stuff has to be dealt with before my other enjoyable pursuits like sharing my creations with you. Sad, but it's very true. :(

My parents are doing fine. Dad is walking and doing the exercising like he's supposed to, and Friday, will be his last day for home care by the nurses and physical therapists. He will be scheduled for outpatient blood checks since he's been on the blood thinner Warfarin since his surgery and also physical therapy a few times a week. He's able to drive now, so I won't have to go unless they think I'll be needed for something or another. I may be temporarily living with my parents, but I'm trying so hard to let them live THEIR lives as normally as possible and stay out of their way as much as possible. I'm here basically to walk with my dad outside and to take their dog for a walk every 3-4 hours. It's cheaper on gas if I just stay at their house than driving the almost 6 mile round trip from my house to their house about 5 times a day. I go back to my house to take care of my cat Rufus and visit with the rest of the clan once or twice a day.

I've got some more masks for you to create with. There is a preview of them and a tag I did with one of them.

Here is the Media Fire link for these masks. If you have any problems with the link, please leave a note in the comments and I will get it fixed for you.

Have an AWESOME week!
Enjoy!

Heart Frame

Good Morning! I hope you are doing well this morning. Things are going well with my dad. He's driving now and yesterday he took mom to get her hair done and then they went to Walmart to shop. Dad works at Walmart and got to chat with all of his fellow co-workers. They like my dad A LOT! Several of his co-workers visited him in the hospital and since he's gotten home. That says a lot about my dad and his friends at work. While they were gone for about 5 hours, I did some laundry and dishes. Then after that, my hubby was home and we went over to our house to spend time with everybody and Rufus the cat. Rufus is ALWAYS glad to see me! I want to be back in my own house, sleeping in my own bed, and my life somewhat back to normal....whatever normal is.

I've got a pretty heart and rose frame to share with you today to create with. Just click on the picture to enlarge it, then right click and "save as" for this one. It's in .png form so everyone can use it.
Have a GREAT day!
Enjoy!

Masks 36-40

Good Morning! I hope you are doing well! I gave myself a bit of a do nothing weekend. I did help my parents with the usual stuff....took a couple of walks outside with dad in the mornings before it got too hot and humid, did a load of dishes in the dishwasher, and some laundry, but that was all of my "doing" for the weekend. I spent time at my own house with my cat Rufus and gave him some lovin's. I miss my cat! I can't have him here because my parent's dog doesn't get along too well with cats. Rufus doesn't mind being around dogs. So, since I had a weekend of not doing much, I've got to get busy with things this week.

I've been fussing over a necklace that I'm making, but there is something that's missing and I can't figure out what it is. It looks COOL! But it is lacking some POP! Maybe since I didn't do anything with it over the weekend, I'll figure out what it is that's missing. I love being creative, but I hate it when I hit the creative block and can't figure out what's either got to go or what needs to be added to make the piece look really good.

Today I've got masks 36-40 for you to create with. Here's what I did with one of the masks and a preview of what's in the file.

It's been a long day

Today seemed really long! Dad had his first post operation doctor's appointment today. He had to have an X-ray before he went to see his doctor this morning. I let the hospital valet's park the car while we were at admitting, and one of the guys got my dad a wheel chair. Wish that wheelchair had been available on the other side of the building when dad got done with his X-ray! When we drove over to the side of the hospital where his doctor's office was, there were no wheelchairs at all and he had to walk, with his walker, the equivalent of almost a block before he actually got to the doctor's office on the second floor. They had an elevator, but the walk was pretty long for someone who doesn't have a lot of strength in his legs after a 16 day stay in the hospital. He's only been doing some walking in the house for light physical therapy that he's supposed to be doing. And honestly, the walks to the bathroom and around the living room and kitchen area is not a lot of walking. It's maybe about 30 feet total around the area of the kitchen and living room, and about 30 feet from his chair to the bathroom. That is all the farther his physical therapists that come to the house want him to be doing. He and I have been up and down the stairs outside about twice a day for the last couple of days.....today, he and I went up and down the steps twice this morning. So today, dad walked the equivalent of 2 blocks....a lot farther than the 30 feet his therapists want him to walk! Cripes he was walking way farther than 30 feet in the hospital! Not sure what's up with these therapists. They want him to work on his balance and leg strength but they don't want him walking very far. Wonder if they know the distance from the front door to the office building to the actual office!

Today I have a frame in .png form to share with you to create with. I was working on putting together another kit, but the theme of the kit and colors are not exactly coming together like I want. So I took some nice bits and pieces and made a frame for you to create with. No links for Media Fire or 4Shared....click on the image to enlarge it, and then just right click and save to where you keep your pretties.
Have a GREAT day!
Enjoy!

Good Evening

Hope you are doing well. I'm still helping my parents and balancing everything that needs to be done for all 3 of us, plus whatever else comes up.

Today is my grandson's 9th birthday! I can't believe that he is NINE! OMG! Where did the time fly away to? For his birthday he's so far gotten a new bike (his other one is way too small for him) and the Skylander game for their Wii. He's probably got some more gifts coming from those who couldn't make the party. I'm not sure what else he got, but as soon as he opened the game, he and his mom were going through how to install all of the parts and what everything did so he could play the game. Unfortunately, it was raining, so he couldn't test out his new bike outside. Since I got to the house after he got his bike, he may have gotten to take a test ride around the house. We all went to one of our local oriental buffets for dinner, and then they went to pick up an ice cream cake of his choosing. I hope I get some because unfortunately I had to come back to my parent's house to walk their dog as I had been gone for 5 hours. Their dog doesn't hold his "water" very well, and I had a small lake to clean up when I got back, but he still went piddle outside. I love dogs....but they can stay outside when the weather is nice! I love cats inside as they will use a litter box and you don't have to take them for a walk every 4 hours, longer if you work. But since my parent's live in a very strict trailer park, they can't have a fenced in yard where their dog can go out, do his business and stay out for a while. They have to have him on a leash and take him for a walk, and he doesn't care about a "potty" schedule....he goes when and where he wants to go, and that upsets me a bit. Another plus in the favorites category for cats!

Today I have Masks 31-35 for you to create with. This is what I did with one of the masks and a preview of all 5 of them in the rar file.

Templates 11 and 12

It's Friday! I brought my big computer to my parent's house as there are programs I need that take up too much space on my laptop. Things are not working well with my big computer at my parent's house and their internet connection, and I'm having to post on my laptop. Not a big deal....just a bit of a PITA! I think it has to do with a couple of things....one, my parent's live in a modular home, number two, there is 70 feet between my wi-fi and their modem, and number three, there is a lot of wiring between where my computer is and where their modem is. It could also be the modem and the connection to the internet, too. Oh well, it's only for a few more weeks and then I'll be back home, and I'll survive!

Dad is doing well. He's had nurses here to check him over and take his blood since he's on warfarin, and a physical therapist to help him get back into shape. He's not happy with his own progress, but his physical therapist thinks he's doing AWESOME!  My dad is 80, but he thinks he's 30 and thinks he should be progressing much faster than he is.

Today I've got two templates for you to create with. Here are a couple of tags I did with the templates and samples of the templates.

Here are the MediaFire links for the templates. If you have any problems with the links, please leave me a note in the comments and I'll get them fixed for you.

Have a GREAT weekend!
